This year's fabulous collection of "Gabbeh Art®" has just arrived in our showroom.
Gabbeh Art®

Gabbeh Art® reflects the tradition, independence and imagination of the nomads, whose lives are closely linked with all the process of carpet making. "Gabbeh Art®" is what distinguishes us from mass produced carpet suppliers. We guarantee the following quality factors: The carpets come from traditional nomadic regions. Warp and pile consists exclusively of hand-spun, naturally dyed wool from the zagros mountains. High knot density, good edge work and artistic design are additional criteria which ensure the popularity and success of these carpets.

Luribaft

The new finely-woven "luribaft" is produced in a similar way to the "Qashquli" the basic material is the same, and the pattern is based on pictures of old carpets. Care is taken to avoid overloading the carpets with patterns. Individual pieces can have a knot density up to 600 000 per square meters. These extremely fine new carpets are produced by Qashquli weavers as well as by the women of the Lur. Formely nomadic but now settled, the Luri are able to produce carpets measuring 4 x 6 meters. it takes six women up to a year to produce such a work!
Yalameh

Like the Lurbaft, Yalameh carpets are woven in the south of Iran by the Qashqa'i and the Lur tribes. Here, too, the wool is hand-spun and coloured using natural dyes.

Qashquli

The Qashquli tribe has always woven carpets with high knot density. We took advantage of this sophisticated technique and comissioned the women of the tribe to weave carpets with a knot densty of 360 000 square feet to 460 000 square feet. The women were given only a rough outline of the pattern, to give weavers the freedom to incorporate their own designs into the works. The hand-spun, twisted undyed wool for the warp must be very fine. The same goes for the natural-dyed wool for the pile.

Grafiti ®

In Grafiti® carpets the pattern tumbles from the weaver's hand like a brook flowing over sparkling stones. With no outside influences, she freely expresses herself while knotting her carpet and the result is impressive. The fascination lies in trying to discover the thought behind her finished designs.

Flatweave

Here we present an absolute "revival". We succeded in the persuading the women of several Belush, Quahqa'i and Afshari tribes to bring back their traditions and techniques in flat-woven carpets. The collection, woven from the best hand-spun, naturally dyed wool, gives us great pleasure. See for yourself!
